Two-Cent Tuesday on 205, Merab's next fight, Khamzat, much more

Hello there.

Hope you’re doing well on this Two-Cent Tuesday.

Time now, once again, for some random thoughts/nugz/news/notes from around the world of fighting:

  1. You know, I was thinking: as the UFC is starting to expand outside the exotic Apex, I wonder when they’ll go back to Lemoore, Calif. Remember the whole Tachi Palace deal?

  2. Keep thinking about what they’ll do with Jiří Procházka next. I can really make a strong case for all three options on the table: Texeira 2, Blachowicz, Smith/Ankalaev winner. Call me crazy, but I think Blachowicz is in third right now because of how his last fight finished. I think UFC will make the call after Smith/Ankalaev. If that one doesn’t deliver, you gotta run it back with Teixeira.

  3. Can’t get over that scene at the Procházka parade in the Czech Republic yesterday. I honestly had no idea his win would mean so much to the area and had no idea he was such a big deal.

There is a massive parade being held in @jiri_bjp’s honor right now in Brno, Czech Republic to celebrate his win. Over 7k people there. Look at this amazing scene! 🇨🇿

  4. I doubt his next fight will take place there, because he’s the champ and all, but damn it’s gotta be tempting after seeing that turnout.

  5. More I think about it, more I think Miesha Tate gets Valentina Shevchenko next, if she beats Lauren Murphy next month. A win is all it takes. Doesn’t have to be something crazy.

  6. I’m so happy for Leon Edwards.

  7. I suspect the bantamweight clouds are going to open up here shortly. Stay tuned.
