As someone who runs a business, I’m always curious about what’s happening on the back end of the businesses I admire. Without getting into sensitive details or numbers, what is it really like running the operational side of things day to day? I’d love to hear your insights on how you stay sharp with business learnings around management, leadership, and growth. Your staff retention, team growth, and marketing are clearly working incredibly well, so I’d be keen to learn what principles or habits have made the biggest difference for you.
Can you and the crew discuss the Ali Revival Act? To me, it is SO OBVIOUS that TKO is pushing for this to run boxing the same way they do the UFC. They're not doing this to help boxing, they're doing it to game the system in their favor and make all the money.
I say these things as someone pursuing combat sports media as I feel this will hurt anyone outside of TKO's circle. There is so much false information out there.
BOYS - what will it take for there to be a Fight Feast Winnipeg a la Iowa City??? I got a list of spots curated for you ready to go. Cheap accomodations and beautiful time of year to visit the Paris of the Prairies
If you won the lottery tonight and money was not an issue tomorrow.. aside from starting your own mailman fighting promotion, what are (3) things each of you would do or buy?
Is conor mcgregor going to get thrown to the wolves on his return? Feels like there is already tension brewing between him and the ufc, he probably wants to make big money outside the ufc and they cruelly will probably want to build up some young studs off his name like they always do to older fighters. Who can you realistically see him facing in his return?
The announcement of Rousey v Carano has me thinking, is there a universe where this isn’t just a one off MMA event? Could Netflix and MVP or others continue to put on super fights/cards for MMA featuring UFC and other MMA legends?
Almost seems like they could put on fights similar to what the GFL was offering on a semi-regular basis. Have a well known fighter/legend at the top of the card and fill the undercard with lesser known and up and coming fighters.
Just a quick question from me. Why do you think your comments section and live chat in your videos are the most negative in all of the sport? Magnitude of concurrent viewers? Original takes on people of power? Frank being a sarcastic SOB on a daily basis? Thanks for the time!
Working as a project manager, I once had to go out of town just before a project was about to start. I did what I could before I left to make sure there were no issues for our install team. Even so, I was really stressed while I was gone and kept checking in with the foreman to make sure everything was going smoothly (and it always was). My wife told me everything going great even with me gone was a sign of great leadership. That’s how I feel about the BITB. The team has learned so much from Ariel and were able to keep the ship sailing without its captain. Great job Ariel and the Boyz. Much love to you all for all the entertainment.
Question for Rick have you ever thought about doing some sort of YouTube movie review channel? Always really enjoy your insight to movies and what not and also any recommendations of any new horror/thriller movies?
I’ve seen a huge amount of backlash toward Conor Benn, and I’m curious how you think that actually plays out when he next fights. Do you think he’ll be met with criticism, or could it swing toward praise once he’s back in the ring? It also feels like an interesting moment where some people who would normally be critical of Eddie Hearn are now siding with him, which isn’t something you see often. What do you make of that shift, and how much does public narrative really matter at this point?
I don’t agree with Sean Strickland on a lot of things, but cutting him off felt a bit anti-UFC to me. Do you think there are conversations happening behind the scenes where the UFC might prefer less censorship, but a company like Paramount, being so large, has to manage bigger commercial and reputational risks? How high up do decisions like that actually go?
Does Ariel tell you guys about some of the inside info he gets about upcoming fights/news? If so, has it ever been tough keeping it to yourself on air?
