Some random thoughts on the eve of my day of atonement … I hope you appreciated what Luke Rockhold did on Monday’s episode of The MMA Hour. What’s that, you say? Well, there was an active UFC fighter openly criticizing the UFC’s business practices. From the uniform to the lack of collective bargaining, he covered a lot and said a lot. More than most say. It takes a lot of guts to do that, and it’s precisely why we don’t see/hear it often. Because if you do speak the way he spoke, you’ll get shelved. Seems to me like Rockhold is in IDGAF mode and isn’t afraid of the repercussions. I give him a lot of credit for saying what I would guess 90-95% of the roster, if not more, is thinking.
What! Norm Macdonald died, thank you for letting us now I had no clue. He was one of my favourite comedian on earth. And he hid his illness for 9 years! And sill rocked. What a bummer, we lost a legend. Thanks again for letting us know, have a great day.
My fear about this new fight promotion is some of the athletes can use this as a bargaining chip and as soon as Dana submits to paying some of the fighters involved more money, they'll jump ship on the new project and run back to the UFC because they finally got the raise they wanted.

It’s becoming clear that Dana messed up. UFC as an organization is doing fine, but I think it’s undeniable that they’d be better off over the long haul if they hadn’t created heelwani.

That new promotion is interesting. In what way are they supposed to structure like NBA etc? I don’t see how that’s possible with MMA
