Happy Tuesday! It’s that time of the week again. Hit me with your best questions below. As always, everything and anything goes. I’ll answer ‘em on Wednesday’s show. Again, try to keep them short and sweet, if possible. That increases your chances of having the question answered.
With Dustin putting it out there that he would "probably" accept a 4th fight with Conor and wanting to be on UFC 300... how likely do you think the UFC will make that happen? I think it's the perfect fight for both of them at this point in their careers. Dustin is coming off of getting head kicked to the shadow realm and their last fight ended with Conor's leg injury. I would feel so bad for Chandler but lets be real, don't you think Dustin vs Conor 4 is the fight to make to headline UFC 300 for Conor's return?
Hi Ariel! I consistently hear your in-studio guests comment on how nice your studio is. Will you ever consider doing a studio tour so the rest of us can see what the guests see as they enter the building and make their way to the set? Thanks for the great content every week! 🙏
How many holes does a straw have?
No question today, just the weekly friendly request to get Don Frye on the show.
I won’t stop till it happens.
Greetings from Germany my man
Moin Moin Ariel (as we like to greet people in Hamburg, Germany)
Oktagon MMA just held the biggest MMA Event ever in Germany, selling out the biggest Arena with almost 20.000 people in attendance and announcing their plans of perhaps doing a stadium show in 2024.
How likely do you see the UFC coming to Germany any time soon? Or would they need a high level german fighter in order to do so as we have seen with Cyril Gane when they went to Paris for the first time or with Khamzat Chimaev and their plans to go to Sweden?
Much love and appreciation for the whole MMA hour crew from Germany
Happy Thanksgiving to all the MMA HOUR Crew. I'm very thankful for all the great content over the past year. I listen while at work and it definitely makes the day worth it. Hope you all have a great holiday.
You recently posted a short video on the history of mergers and acquisitions in the MMA industry.
Do you remember your initial reaction to reading the news of Zuffa buying Pride FC? Can you and the MMA Hour team rank the biggest mergers and acquisitions in MMA history?
What's the likelihood that PFL doesn't stay on ESPN? If it's likely, what brought about it? I for one, enjoy that PFL is on ESPN. It's one of the things that drew me in as a fan. Is it due to pressure from the fact that UFC is also on ESPN and they probably don't like that they share a network together? As much info on this matter as possible would be greatly appreciated. I've been a fan of yours since 2011, love you content! Keep it up!
Hola Ariel! Your introduction to every show is my favorite of any show I watch/listen to. From the emphasis on “LIFE” to the way you say “hello again everyone, I sure hope you’re doing well,” it’s all fantastic. Do you have any favorites that come to mind that you like today or when you were growing up? Another one I love is when PTI signs off with “good night, Canada.”
There have now been a total of 9 double champs in the UFC. Who do you think has the best/most realistic chance of becoming double champ #10?
I like Islam’s chances at welterweight…
Love the show, I never miss an ep. Thanks all, and shout out to the crew in the back! More Rick/GC/Frank/Ariel chats, please!
This question is for you and the boys.
If you and your family could comfortably live anywhere in the country or on the planet and still somehow do what you want for a living, where would you choose to live and why?
Ariel, of all the projects you've said you want to work on in your career, which of the following is most likely to happen FIRST?
1. Highway to Helwani
2. The coffee/barber shop
3. Becoming an MMA manager
4. Opening the independent MMA Hall of Fame
Hello Ariel and crew! Ariel what are some of the best or your favorite fighter nicknames of all time???? I have a top 5. The axe murderer. The natural born killer. The Irish hand grenade. The bear jew. The Korean zombie. Honorable mention? Probably the outlaw or maybe the dentist. All great those are my favorite but I’m wondering what you and the guys thought were some of the best and if you agree with my list as some of the best. Thanks for all the great content. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday. Jason
After seeing both Leon and Jamahal talk about moving up to go for double champ, I think it’s time we pump the brakes on the whole double champ thing. Both the 170 and 205 pound division are still a mess and I want to see some title defences first. Which brings me to my question, should there be rules in place ie: certain amount of title defences needed or lack of clear contenders, before champs can call for a move up? Or is this too varied by champ?
Mma Hour Team! If Scott Coker doesn't come over to the PFellator bandwagon, I will sincerely miss the dynamic between him and Ariel. His appearances on the show were always genuine and special. My question is, if he doesn't cross over, do you expect his mma hour appearances to dissipate or will you have him on to just talk fights and see how his life is going after Bellator?
Thanks from a loyal listener,
P.S: Shoutout to the discord and YT chat!
What’s up Ariel, Frank, Ric, and gc I love you guys I’m a huge fan of the show as it’s my favourite show and the only one I watch consistently the moment it comes out! My question for you is I’m making my amateur BFL debut on February 8th if I walk out in mma hour helwani merch and take an mma hour banner into the cage with me can you guarantee me automatic immortalization on the wall once I enter the ufc for being a loyal supporter from the beginning of my amateur days to my UFC debut?
P.S. would appreciate if you can include this would be very nice also shoutout to my gym Universal MMA!
