With the rise of Bo Nickal (who had an outstanding amateur wrestling career) and the likes of Askren, DC or Brock who all had incredible credentials as well, I always wondered why Kurt Angle never took the chance to compete in MMA? You mentioned that he was one of the first interview guests of your career and so maybe you can answer that ? A gold medalist in the higher weight classes, I think he would be a force like no other.
Breaking through moderator Louis is like trying to score on Ochoa in the world cup but here it goes. With the World Cup coming up there will be a bunch of flag representation across the world. You ever think the UFC will let fighters rep their country’s and flags anymore?
I just want to start by saying how great it was to see you and DC reunited. You guys made lockdown somewhat bareable. But something irked me...
Ive never written in to this but I have followed you for 10 years now. The whole Cain situation really rubs me the wrong way. I know he is considered a really nice human being by everyone who has been around him in the MMA world, he was one of the best HW's we've ever seen. But what he did was absolutely despicable. As someone who has been molested as a child the fact you guys think his reaction is even slightly acceptable is a worrying reflection on society. I feel for cain i really do, but he deserves to be locked away for murder. The man used a gun when he was one of the most dangerous men walking the planet. AND HE MISSED HIS TARGET AND KILLED AN INNOCENT MAN! Why the fuck are we acting like he is a hero?
The MMA world seem to act like he was successful in his mission of killing the perpetrator. Why am I hearing you all act like he shouldn't be behind bars? Imagine your dad or brother or uncle was murdered because of his STEPSONS actions. Why are you all acting so weird about this?
Hello MMA Hour Family! I jumped on the bandwagon a couple months back and can’t thank you all enough for the insightful, entertaining, and all around stellar combat sports content.
Now to the question. It isn’t uncommon to hear “McGregor is the money fight” or “Masvidal is the money fight”, but I have also heard Dana say multiple times that a fighter has a contract and will fight for their contracted price. Is it as simple as when someone gets a big fight against Connor or Jorge that they will renegotiate their contract and get a bigger payday, or are people referring to the stardom and opportunities that will come as a result of fighting and/or beating these big name stars? I understand you have to be a big name to be in the conversation for these “money fights”, but I find it hard to believe sometimes that Dana will just willingly renegotiate.
Everybody has somebody that keeps them in check, helps them grow, and calls them out on bs. In your career, who is the one person that has consistently been there to keep you in check, mentor you, set you straight when necessary, and push you to be your best?
Your good pal T-Mac here…quick question today…given you’re cleanliness nature I am intrigued to know how you may approach this following conundrum….if you were ever to exchange a crisp $20 note in exchange for a product or service totaling $19.25…and you received 75 cent in coinage. Do you take the unclean random coinage or do you leave it behind?
Please take the above from both a self service checkout machine & shop keeper perspective.
Personally I gave up ever accepting coinage since 2018.
Interested to hear how your fellow comrades would act in this situation also.
A few weeks ago when you had ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong on your show, you asked him about his plans to bring ONE to American markets. Chatri stated that Rich Franklin would be going state to state, commission to commission, to get ONE's ruleset approved, primarily knees to the head of grounded opponents.
My question is, how likely do you think American commissions are to accept knees to the head on the ground and adopt the ONE ruleset, and would this mean if a commission approves it that the UFC would also have the choice to adopt the knees? How do you see this playing out?
Thank you to Ariel, GC, New York Ric and Mysterious Frank for being the Mount Rushmore of mensches.
It was fascinating on Monday’s show to hear from coach Eugene Bareman and the fighters about some of the coaching and motivational tactics that go on behind the scenes at CKB. I really admire the brotherhood between them, and I could only imagine how intense their sparring sessions are.
My question is this: if you could be a fly on the wall that lived in any MMA gym for a specific period of time, in which you had unlimited access to all of the training, sparring, coaching that goes on behind the scenes, which gym would you choose and during which time period? (Examples - AKA during the DC & Khabib era, ATT at the height of the Colby/Jorge drama, etc)
Hey ariel, since you spend alot of time sat down and of course for that you need good comfort. i was wondering which chairs do you like to use? I thought surely you must have a go to one!
Ariel - you are a scholar and a gentleman. Mostly. :-) After Suga finished his work against Yan, I went back and looked at a few of his previous bouts. Serious question: where is Kris Moutinho? Specifically, does anyone know how he is doing? There are more than a few fights where its reasonable to be concerned about fighters - I always thought this one was a bit hard to watch. Do you agree? Thoughts?
Hello ariel and crew. I know it's still kinda early but next year marks 30 yrs of the ufc. Have you heard any rumblings of special events they plan on doing and what do you want see happening for these 30 yrs besides open scoring (bada tsstt)
He lost 3 out 4 by finish and is fighting a no name.
Meanwhile Dom Reyes who only lost to current or former Champs is on the prelims. Molly is a bigger name than both Hooker or Reyes. Yet she is also on the prelims. The main card lineups
Have been questionable recently. Big names on the prelims no names on the main ppv card.
Hallo Ariel

Greetings from Germany my man
Shalom Ariel!
I hope that this time my question will pass through Louis "Petr Čech" Gilmour!
In your opinion, what can Jake Paul and Showtime do to generate higher PPV numbers?
Remember this exchange on Seinfeld:
Russell, The NBC President: "Well, why am I watching it?"
George Costanza: "Because it's on TV!!!"
Russell, The NBC President: "Not Yet"
Can you make a case for MMA and boxing fans to tune up and watch Jake Paul fights?
Breaking through moderator Louis is like trying to score on Ochoa in the world cup but here it goes. With the World Cup coming up there will be a bunch of flag representation across the world. You ever think the UFC will let fighters rep their country’s and flags anymore?
Love the ochoa shoutout 🇲🇽

Hi Ariel!
Do you have any updates on Thug Rose? I've heard you drop some crumbs that she may be done fighting. Is there any truth to this?

I love the questions that delve into the Helwani psyche.
I’d also love to know if $0.75cent is a bit too punchy to leave behind…is there a cut off point for the crew? i.e. 20cent, 50 cent etc.
I’ve a feeling that GC is still picking up a damp & rusted 5 cent coin from the subway change machine.
Appreciate you all!
Tony

Yes Newman!
Ariel my man! Short and sweet this week. Hoping to get your thoughts on all things sweet science.
. The Spence v Crawford mess ?
. How would you matchmake the next fights under the135-140 weight class
. Excited for Plant v Benevidez?
Hey ariel, since you spend alot of time sat down and of course for that you need good comfort. i was wondering which chairs do you like to use? I thought surely you must have a go to one!
Hej Ariel,
Hypothetical situation:
Dana asks you to schedule the first ever Zuffa boxing card. (🤣)
Using any UFC and/or Super Slap League independent contractors, what are the main and co-main events?
-Nick the Dane

Why is Dan Hooker on the main card?
He lost 3 out 4 by finish and is fighting a no name.
Meanwhile Dom Reyes who only lost to current or former Champs is on the prelims. Molly is a bigger name than both Hooker or Reyes. Yet she is also on the prelims. The main card lineups
