Ariel, what is going on with PFL? Several fighters (namely Mousasi and Lima) have come out and said that PFL won't offer them any fights or reply to their management in an effort to try and get them to resign to lesser deals. Shabliy said PFL won't honor the million dollar prize from the Bellator Grand Prix. Baki posted a reply on twitter claiming he had yet to receive his full purse from his fight with Doumbe too. Every time Donn Davis comes on your show he talks about how PFL is "fighter first", but it seems like more and more we're hearing about PFL not being willing to honor contracts or pay the fighters what's been agreed to. If what the fighters are saying is true, how is anyone supposed to believe that Rennan Ferreira is going to get 2 mil for fighting Francis? Any insight on this?
I know that pfl have to run bellator events for another year before being allowed to fully merge companies. For whatever reason they prefer to fill cards with lesser known fighters because they think Mousasi, Lima, cyborg and others have a contract that they see as to expensive but ultimately names sell tickets not unknown fighters. I do think pfl have the potential to be massive but their making all the wrong decisions at the moment
Have you ever been formally offered to box in the likes of Misfits/celebrity boxing event? If not, have there ever been possibilities or considerations on your end?
I would pay to see Helwani x Danis in a boxing match. Wonder what the odds would open at....if Danis' match with Logan Paul is any indicator my money is on Helwani
Why does everyone keep saying if Fury loses the rematch to Usyk then the Joshua fight is off? If anything wouldn’t that put them on a level playing field? Considering Joshua also lost both his matches to Usyk?
Seems like boxing has an arbitrary rule that both men need to be coming off a win in order to create a “BIG” matchup. As a primarily MMA fan I disagree with this rule and think the Fury v Joshua fight NEEDS to happen after the Usyk rematch especially if fury loses again.
Am I crazy? Or does boxing need to take a lesson from MMA on this one ?
The best damn name in this substack has returned to ON. THE. NOSE. ***insert The Rock tone***
Do PR teams/managers/agents ever queue questions up for you to ask? Sometimes I can sense you getting the fighters or promoters over the hump if you will.
Hello Ariel and crew, I’d love your thoughts on TNT likely losing their NBA media rights seeing you on many occasions called Inside The NBA the best studio sports show on television.
Also it was noticeable the absence of GC on Mondays show which is a credit to the effort the entire team puts in to make the MMA Hour what it is, special thanks to this iteration specifically for the last 3ish years of entertainment (hope everything with the family is well GC)
Hola Ariel! It’s me, the guy who gets Taco Bell for this segment. Not sure if you guys really wanted to know the order, but since prices are crazy high lately, I get some favorites box that has a quesadilla, taco, nachos, a drink, and cheesy bean burrito for $5.99. But back in the day, I’d roll with the 2 chalupa meal.
Question for NYR- my Challenge Mount Rushmore is Bananas, CT, Wes, and Jordan. Agree or disagree?
Question for GC- what will happen first, Jon Jones next fight or Kanye drops Vultures 2?
Ariel - Will Tom Aspinall receive PPV points for an interim title defense? If so, is it based on a lower percentage since it is an Interim and not undisputed? If Blaydes wins, I'm rooting for Tom but I do like Curtis also, does the Interim title just go away or is Blaydes the new Interim Champion and we just keep up the two titles in the division nonsense? Love the show, love the crew, your banter is hilarious, shout out to Frank. Love the Watch Parties, thanks to GC and Mike. Have a great show. Love it!
Ariel, sorry bout them Knicks… and that’s coming from a Miami fan. It’s been a couple weeks since the Asim Zaidi interview but I don’t think you ever explicitly gave your take on Karate Combat’s format of allowing fans vote, and modify the league? Do you think of this feature as more of a gimmick or could it be a way of keeping in touch with the fanbase? Would you like to see other league’s implement this for match making, fight locations, rule set proposals for state commissions?
Me and my dad went to game 7 at msg. We had to spend a lot on the tickets for not the best seats. Also my dad was in the building for the 1995 series against the pacers including the Reggie Miller game so that made us want to go even more. The energy in the building was crazy and an experience that i will remember but the result was so awful. Still a great season. My question is do you think next year with Thibs philosophy of coaching we can stay healthy through the playoffs and win it all because this year the injuries killed us.
Also I was considering coming to the live show in NJ not sure if it will workout. My question about it is what time will the show go until and are you going to do them more often. I ask about the time because i have something the next day and i live 2 hours away.
On Monday's show during your interview with Leon he stated that he thinks the reasoning behind the time of the UFC 304 PPV was due to the changing of locations? Can you confirm that the original UFC 304 date was in Utah? Or could there be other reasons for not changing the time to UK Time? Sounds like UFC keeps trying to punish Leon and Belal.
Thank you for always bringing guests that can get swept under the rug over the years. Dmitry Salita appears a hell of a promoter…. And he sounds like a Ukrainian Christopher Walken! 😂
GC welcome back, never leave us again. Please tell me you texted Julianna: ‘Hey this is Carlos’.
NY Jackman, do you still own a PR company?
Frankie, even though you’re not allowed on camera… your Daria presence resonates with the world.
Ariel, any chance we can get a sneak peak into the new show format? Anxious people like us gotta know what to expect! Thanks again for all you do.
Ariel, I’m getting married on June 1st. Dustin is one of my favorite fighters if not favorite. You can see the dilemma. My fiance already knows what’s going down after the wedding (watching DP gilly Islam). My question is, what would you say the average time the main event makes the walk?
Also GC, is it acceptable to sneak away and catch some prelims? FINISH THE STORY! LETS GO!
do you think jon jones is playing promoter by downplaying tom aspinall as an opponent therefore making the talk around a fight with him and tom that much bigger? we know for a fact jon is fighting stipe but jon never really said outright he’s retiring after, playing games and getting people to talk about him “ducking” sure amps up the hype for a potential fight with tom.. thoughts?
Hello Ariel! What are your thoughts on having mma go from multiple rounds to a single round? Some think that a fight is a fight and shouldn't have any interruptions. I personally like the idea of rounds because it's a reset so if someone made a mistake and got caught or taken down now it's a chance to redeem themselves. I know it's not exactly 3 separate fights or 5 (depending on number of rounds), but to me it's as close to that idea. Have multiple rounds gives two fighters multiple chances to assert that their style of martial art is superior. Wanted to get your thoughts. Peace and love!

Hey Ariel and crew,
I’ll keep it short and sweet.

Hey Ariel, why is no one calling for a Mike Perry title shot in BKFC?
The guy is the face of the sport and he hasn’t even been considered for a tittle fight as far as I know.
