Hello Ariel and the BITB!

This question is for everyone, I was wondering what your guys' opinions are on fans booing UFC fighters normally the second clinching or grappling is initiated? I personally think it is the most disrespectful and disgraceful thing to do to these fighters that have been training nearly their entire lives, have worked tirelessly and have made many sacrifices to get to where they are, and are the mostly highly skilled athletes in their sport. Not every time, but most of the time they are trying to set something up, and I just feel so horrible for them when the crowd turns on them instantly for fighting their fight. I think booing is embarrassing and should be criticized more by MMA media, Dana/the UFC itself, and true MMA fans.

Would really love your take on a situation that everyone has to deal with, considering you have three children. With two young kids of my own, just curious your thoughts on vaccines. How do you navigate deciding what is best for your kids and what research you do or how you come to your decision on debated things such as this. Not asking what side of the fence you are on necessarily, just want to know how you navigate a scary and potentially life altering decision.

Seeing that you were involved in NFL draft night, I was curious to hear your take on the Shreuder prank call debacle and the story as a whole? What was your take on the situation?

And what would you do if it were your kid, Ariel? How would you discipline?

As we’ve seen over the years, most recently coming to mind with Jiri, fighters make very clear and necessary adjustments. Jiri’s growth was so clear against Jamal, the way in which he moved out of the way of punches and was able to slip and counter which ultimately got him the finish. I can’t say I saw any growth in Bo, which is where a lot of the fraud check talk is coming from. It looked like his typical winging overhand that he has had all along, the difference being that it isn’t working on these higher caliber guys. Do you agree with this sentiment, that Bo hasn’t made much progress in his career thus far when it comes to technique and skill pertaining to striking?

Hey Ariel,

Since you dodged this question last week with peace and love I ask it again.

Just curious—when a guy with five pro fights makes the main card of UFC 300 and gets the full promotional push, is that still ‘not a big deal,’ or is the UFC just doing charity work now? Yes I am talking about Bo.

Ariel - I've gotta say I am dissapointed with what i heard recently when I caught up on some recent episodes. FIRST, At the end of a show you all were talking about the TUF 1 finale and you mentioned that Bonnar beat Griffin...not how that happened. Griffin won, show some respect. How do you forget this if you watched live like I did? Unforgettable. Also, GC said he was in Pacers country when in Iowa....WTF ARE WE TALKING ABOUT HERE? Iowa is not Indiana no matter how much they wish they could be. C'mon fellas.....love the show. Thank you

GOAT Conner,

Thanks for keeping me in the black with your betting advice weekly on BITB.

My question for you is, would you consider trying out competitive jiu jitsu? I feel the same adrenaline rush stepping onto the mat as when I’m sweating out the last leg of a parlay on Saturday nights. There’s some great bjj leagues that come to NY, as well as ATL, perhaps the AH show as well as mama Burks could attend your comps.

We’d love to have you in the bald-beard-bjj community.

It’s tough.

Hey Ariel and crew,

Thanks for the reaction to the breaking news yesterday, y’all are truly the uncrowned champs of MMA journalism.

If Islam loses to JDM and if Ilia beats Do Bronx, could we still get Islam v Ilia at 155? Or do we think Islam’s lightweight days are behind us? I personally think he may find himself in a position like Izzy did, being a dominant champion who was unable to realize success at a heavier weight class, and returned home and enjoyed more title defenses.

Appreciate it boys!

Assalamalaikum Ariel and team.

Have you heard anything about the possibility of JDM vs Islam being in Perth in September? And any chance we get a Volk vs Movsar co main for that card?

P.S. can I get a get a shoutout to Perth City from the BITB

Hey Ariel,

Can we break the 4th Wall here….why can’t we get Donn Davis on the show? The BITB can’t even be bothered to get him on their show, they just send him straight to voicemail week after week.

Also shoutout to my boy Brad. You don’t know him but he’s a good guy, met him.

That’s all I got…see you at the top!!!

Mr. Helwani, I want to pitch a reoccurring segment for you show. Chael vs other retired mma athletes in non combat competition. A few examples: Chael vs Anderson in chess, Chael vs Tito in tic tac toe, Chael Vs Jones in beer pong…

The possibilities are endless!

Appreciate you guys! Jimmy

Only if he can train for it six days, actually six days a week. Five days a week, he’ll train three days a week. One of those days he will train two days of the week. So, six days a week he will be training

Ric, you mentioned that the fan interactions in Des Moines were great as nobody lingered. Can you describe that more? A quick fist bump and picture? A handshake ok? Can they ask a question or two? Ariel and GC, would love your thoughts on this topic as well. Maybe hear some worst fan interaction stories?

Did you see McGregor smoking a cigar ringside at BKFC screaming at the fighters while he has someone filming him. Dave’s face next to him looks displeased as if he’s lost complete control of his baby (bkfc). What is your take on him and being the face of this company? He looks like he is acting for a movie scene, like he is trying way too hard to be a mob boss or something. Big McGregor fan but hard to believe this is the same Mcgregor.

Whats up everybody! Love the show, especially love when Australian / Scottish Peter chimes into the convos.

I have a legit unpopular opinion:

I think that Paul H. Vs Usman N. Is an overrated fight. Was it a good fight? Yes. But fight of the year? I really dont think so. In my opinion JDM and Belal had a much better fight, and besides that there have been a lot of fights so far this year that were better. After watching it live I was a little suprised with how much everyone loved it. What am I missing? Is it really that good? Am I blind? Do I not know ball? Do I have gout? Whats going on

Ariel - Maybe I am the only one here and if so then so be it but I have to say I am not a fan of the BITB's interviews. The questions are very long and drawn out. A whole lot of interruptions and talking over each other. The conversations/interview doesn't feel natural. I loved the show when it was just the banter and talk between the boys along with a wacky list or 3. Question - GC & Ric do you actually enjoy and are interested in interviewing fighters or has it just become a part of the job that you have to do now? No disrespect intended I can always just fast forward through them. Thank you love the show and most of BITB. GO PACERS!
