Thank you sharing your story of mental health and the transformative power of therapy! We need more voices to end the stigma. It’s funny- I’m thinking of Chael naming his psychologist as his secret weapon in improving his performance as a fighter.
I’d like to add that as a therapist, I am always delighted to hear from fellow unicorns who share the same atypical intersection of interests: therapy and combat sports. I’m slowly working on an article that explores that intersection.
I’m also really loving the vibe here in the comments! I wonder if a side effect of a subscription service is that it attracts the kinds of fans who actively value and want to support our guy, Ariel. :)
You’re an Inspiration Ariel for speaking about anxiety/mental illness. Although everyone knows someone who deals with it, when you yourself are dealing with it you feel alone and no one else is going through it. Hearing you, Ariel Helwani the best MMA journalist of all time share your ups and downs with us help other people going through the grind which is life. So good to have YOUR show back! This outlet seems really awesome too and I’m looking forward to being a subscriber! Thank you AH!
Was really introduced to you through The Pat McAfee Show and have since gotten into the MMA space more. Excited to be along for this new journey! See ya on Wednesday!
Great to have the MMS Hour back in our lives! FYI, you are one of the few but not the first: Dustin was on Teddy Atlas's podcast roughly a month ago for a great interview.
Thanks Ariel, glad to have your content back in my life on the regular. You are truly the King of the long form MMA interview and I could never figure out why ESPN was so fixated on keeping all your interviews/shows so condensed. Welcome home, can't wait to hear what else you have cooking.

Loved every minute 😁
Keep doing the damn thing Ariel. Independent Helwani is the best helwani.
You are clearly a smart man (no need to be self-deprecating), its part of the reason we love you and the show.

Killer show Ariel! Can't wait to see the guests for tomorrow!
I still hope we see Izzy vs Bones one day but I don't see it happening...his failed experiment vs. Jan likely cost us that dream matchup
