👋 Hola Ariel!!!

UFC 273 is back after a week off building more anticipation than usual for an event. “The People’s Main Event” this weekend is Gilbert Burns x Khamzat Chimaev. “The Wolf” has seemed inhuman during his undefeated career, highlighted recently during his four fights in the UFC out striking his opponents 254-2.

Does Burns make Chimaev look human on Saturday? (You don’t even have to take Burns to win, simply does he make him seem human)

Viva Heelwani 🦹🏻‍♂️

As a Leon Edwards guy, Burns victory pls 🇨🇺 🙏

After seeing Chimaev wrestle Hermansson the way he did, I have a feeling something similar might happen to Burns. Of course, what do I know but he just seems next level

What makes me feel Burns will put up a good fight is his jujitzu pedigree

Dear Ariel,

Greetings once again from London, Ontario, Canada. My question today pertains to Twitter. I work in academia and there has been a push to have a more active Twitter presence, so I am trying to learn more about this platform. I was wondering if you could provide any advice on how to navigate Twitter effectively in a professional capacity, and speak to any detrimental aspects of Twitter either professionally or socially that should be avoided?

Finally, I was hoping you would consider a shout-out to “The ONES Checklist”, which is a clinical tool we recently published to help diagnose brain inflammation causing seizures. Thank you for taking the time to “cut a promo” for this (apologies, I am still not exactly sure how to best use this phrase). In the spirit of using Twitter, my tweet of The ONES Checklist can be found here:

As always, I appreciate your valuable insights.

Sincerely,

Adrian

Hey Ariel,

After surveying my friends I was shocked to find out about half of them wipe standing up. Since today is international bathroom etiquette awareness day, I would like to know whether you are a standing wiper or a sitting wiper. I need GC and Frank's answer as well.

Can New chime in on slack please. Hell, let’s get EKC too. Yoon?

My Man, good afternoon Ariel,

Coming off the weekend in the big D, does being out there, working the event, hobnobbing with the stars make you want to do more of that again?

Or does coming home to the family, after 1 hour’s sleep no less, cement the decision to stay on the current workload and focus on working the big events only.

Thought you had a terrific spread of content for Mania.

Much love, Louis

Hi Ariel,

Hope you enjoyed mania, was brilliant to see vintage Ariel in the field. Two quick ones:

1. Do you think El Cubano’s dominance is over or is it just a blip?

2. Does anyone (still) do the NYR (or GC) segment crust first?

**clears throat**

1) I AM STILL THE ALL TIME LEADER with 13 First Questions!

2) In second place is a 5 way tie between Alex Weber, KatteMMA, nathan, Pecan Pie up in this, & Ryan Diamond all with two questions.

3) I had first question last week.

4) I would’ve had first question today if Heelwani didn’t switch up the timing of the post.

5) My dominance at the top has created a possible new rule change where Ariel might answer questions by “Top” first instead of “Chronologically”. And I still may end up being first!

MY DOMINANCE SHALL REIGN AS LONG AS THE MMA HOUR CONTINUOUS TO EXIST!!!

Hey Ariel,

Would you consider going on the show Hot Ones?

I think it would be awesome to have two of the best interviewers of all time together. 10/10 would be the best episode ever.

Thanks again for all your hard work and dedication. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say we are so thankful that you've given us a platform to be able to directly communicate with you and have our questions answered. You are a true mensch.

I would love to see Ariel on that show. 👍🏽😊🙏🏽

100%. Sean Evans does extensive research on his guests and I would love to see if Ariel would be surprised by some of the questions like most guests are.

Ariel said he's not famous enough. COME ON HEELWANI. CUT THE HUMBLE CRAP OUTTA HERE. YOU ARE THE MAN AND ABSOLUTELY FAMOUS ENOUGH. Don't ever discredit yourself. It would be one of the highest viewed episodes ever.

I thought yesterdays post of Walter’s school project was amazing! Must be an incredible feeling to see your child think of you as a role model like that. You’re clearly doing a great job!

Did you speak to him about it afterwards? Willing to share? How did he decide on that quote?

Good day, MMA Hour crew. Ariel, would you agree with Chael in saying Anderson v. Gsp and/or Anderson v. Jones would have been the biggest fight(s) of all time, mma wise?? Also, any Anderson Silva updates/news??? Lastly, would you prefer a hypothetical Silva v. Jake Paul or Silva v. Gsp boxing match???

Just read two cent Tuesday, fingers crossed #8(Nathan) and 9(Dustin) are connected and its a read between the lines scenario??

Would you ever do an interview with a fan? I would love to hear a short interview with El Cubano.

He always has insightful questions, is a positive 'group-forum' personality, and let's face it, has become the People's Champ here at Helwani Nose.

Not sayin', just sayin'...

G’day Ariel 🇦🇺

Random observation but I tried poutine for the first time this past weekend and absolutely loved it! Now, for the serious business, what is more likely to occur:

1. Dana does a 1 hour in studio interview with you (with no questions off limits), or

2. Bellator host an event at the apex.

Keep up the great work and tell New Dork Rick to get out of GC’s chair!

Ariel, man, the minutiae of your journalism and direction is noticed and appreciated by the Heels out here, but I've got to call you out. Above all other journalists, you see and appreciate the value of the Diaz brothers. When Nick came back, it was a huge deal to so many people. He wasn't Strikeforce Nick, but much better than he was given credit for. I think people got drunk on the highlight reels leading up to the fight. I know you've reported those guys as fairly hard to get ahold of. Cesar cancelled on you leaving so many questions unanswered, and whatever happened slipped through the interest of being reported. It's weird.

All respect towards Nick Diaz, but what happened? If he ever listens, he should know we wish the man well. 1 of 1.

Hello Ariel!

During your in the interview with Aljamain Sterling last week, you and Aljo discussed how you both went to the Turning Stone Casino while he was in college at Cortland and you were at Syracuse. Would you believe that ol Newman actually used to work at Turning Stone as a summer job while I was home from college?! I mowed the grounds and had that place looking pristine.

What do ya say you, me, and Aljo take a trip back to Turning Stone for old time sake and hit the black jack tables?!

Hello, Mr. Ariel.

My question is, the clock is winding down, team MMA Hour is down by 2, the Martians have a death beam pointed at earth, and you guys have one shot and you better hit it, who are you nominating to take the final shot out of yourself, GC, Ric and Frank Mysterio? I’d appreciate everyone’s input. (happy new April btw)

Shalom Ariel!

How do you propose that an International MMA Hall of Fame get past the roadblock that North American HoFs are for specific leagues? For Instance, the MLB doesn’t count stats from other professional leagues when their players born overseas retire. If they did, Ichiro would be the all-time hits leader.

In my opinion, any MMA HoF needs to include a wing recounting major stories of MMA history.

Hopefully, you get to this, I’ve been interested to know your thoughts for a bit.

Does anyone know the criteria for being accepted into the UFC Hall of Fame or is just how they feel about it?

I could be completely wrong here but I never got the sense that the UFC Hall of Fame was anything all that prestigious for that exact reason. There are plenty of people who by rights should be in there (Couture, Anderson, etc.) and aren't for whatever reason (upsetting the company, fighter pay, etc.)

As far as I can tell, for a person, it feels like they need to like you and you have to have been a face of the ufc for an extended period of time. The main issue with their model is they choose and not the writers, who decide for every other major sport in America. The ufc is super biased and only inducts their favorites, so we’ll likely never see people like Couture or Frank Shamrock inducted, even though both are more than deserving.

With UFC 277 being July 30 and UFC 281 being Abu Dhabi end of october, that means we are now getting 3 ppvs in August-September. Do you think theres any worry that maybe the cards could be getting thin with there being now 2 extra ppvs scheduled for this year? I know some already say that they do not think every card is worth the $$ so I feel like adding more ppvs could potentially do more damage than good. Would love your opinion on this
