Idk if you guys saw in the news earlier this year that Sacramento State University partnered with Urijah Faber to create "Combat U", a first of its kind program where students will be able to train with Faber and other MMA fighters to hopefully create a pathway for those who want to compete in combat sports professionally. The students will have access to scholarships and other resources they would not otherwise likely have if training in MMA early on. In the future, could you guys see more universities creating combat sports programs and partnering with local MMA fighters to train future combat sports professionals in this kind of setting? Love you all, thanks for the amazing content every week!
Hearing Payton Talbott talk about his love for skateboarding inspired me to buy a skateboard for the first time in my life. I've been learning how to ride but I can't seem to ollie for the life of me.
I was wondering if any of you have ever skateboarded and any tips you can give to someone starting off for the first time.
Thanks for holding down the fort while Ariel's gone.
Two quick ones… Do both of you truly believe Mcgregor is going to fight again? If so will it be Chandler? Feels like he wants someone else but won’t say it. What is the gut feeling telling you?
Do either of you fish? Just got into it last few months and it is electric. Curious if anyone on the show enjoys some good ol fishing. Saltwater or freshwater.
I got a quick question on who is gonna headline 307 in SLC. What’s the most realistic outcome and fun outcome that we can get to headline the card or added fights. Thank you guys
With the return of Nganouu announced for October I have a question.
Seeing as Francis's MMA game is largely based on boxing do you think with all the boxing training and competition he will be better then ever as an MMA fighter or do you think the time away from training other aspects of MMA could leave him with a weakness to be exploited in his upcoming fight?
Seeing how some Olympic Sports are judged, why do you think MMA doesn’t use more than 3 judges, thus taking out the variability of inconsistent scorecards?
A better method would be to have 5 judges and toss out the scorecard that favors each fighter the most, thus leaving the 3 most agreeable scorecards.
Also, why are judges not given any Fighter Statistics after each round to help make a more informed decision? For example: Significant Strikes, Control Time, etc.
Sup GC and Ric hope you guys are well, are you guys up for some BMF talk?
I think the UFC will not put the BMF belt on the line with Topuria vs Holloway because then the BMF belt would be garenteed to be held by a champion essentially removing it from using it for what they want it for which is adding vaule to exciting non title fights. If it's not on the line then only if Max wins will the Champ hold the BMF belt, which i think is still a better situation then Topuria having both titles for several reasons. if Max looses, the UFC will want Max to have the BMF belt still. If Topuria wins and keeps both belts it essentially makes the BMF belt pointless. Also i don't think Dana wants that belt involved in an undisputed title fight.
I aslo believe they will never put Conor in a BMF title, Conor has enough value on his own. The BFM belt would add no have no value in the hands of McGregor.
why do you guys think Dana is so against 165 pound division? I saw someone ask him about 165 division after that Comain Catchweigh at 165 with Ige and Lopez and his answer was "that wont happen while I'm around".
Iv heard his reasons why not to make the division but non of them really seem valid to me. World wide, there is the most talent for these weigh classes that would be affected and MMA is still growing. Seems like their are only plus sides to me. The down sides only seem temporary, if any. Do you guys agree?is there any less obvious downsides for the UFC or MMA as whole to creating 165 division ?
Also if 165 was made, assuming 170 would then become 175, what would these division be called?
Would 165 become super lightweight?
Or maybe 165 would become welterweight and 175 would be super welterweight?
What’s the craic Ariel gc ric frank and the rest of the crew, simple question this week on a scale of 1-ladd dumont what do u rate this weeks apex event?
GC! Pal ! You've got to get over this heartbreak man. Come back to the tri-state area ASAP, that's where all the fish are. Lmk if you need some help, bud
WWE RAW was amazing this monday, any thoughts if you were watching? Debut of wyatt 6 in ring, Randy on raw, banger match from Damian Priest and JD, seth rollins getting DEMOLISHED, and just an overall good show following summerslam. Opinions on future directions for WWE Storylines and what do you think the company has in store for the Bloodline story in the future?
How do you guys think a fight between Alex Pereira and Cyril Gane would play out at heavyweight ? Both high level strikers in their own right w/ their own unique style. Lots of people want the Pereira v Aspinall fight but I think Pereira v Gane would make for a better more entertaining fight. Thanks!
Should the UFC look for another face to represent itself In the future ? I'm asking this because Dana seems to represents a certain type of fan and not all fans when he speaks in public. Could this hurt the ufc in the future as it keeps growing?
I was surprised to hear on one of the episodes a few months back that the one and only Mysterious Frank is also from Honduras! I know he’s not know for sharing personal information, but can you please try to get him to answer a few? Was he born there? What city is his family from? When was the last time he visited? What is his favorite Honduras food/dish? Does he speak Spanish? Does he use the word “maje” when he speaks Spanish? If you can at least get him to answer at least 1 question it would be a win for me.
Whaddup GC, Ric, and the rest of the crew!

Been skating my whole life, you get better by skating. Learn how to ride comfortably and how to fall before learning tricks.
