So how the hell do you get your question answered? I asked first and had the most likes? I’m confused? Usually I’ll post super late so I can see why but what’s the excuse for it now? I just don’t get it
I asked you a few weeks back about your profesional relationship with Jon Jones... He was my favourite fighter growing up, yet, over the years he always finds ways to make me dislike him (the latest heckler episode). So my question..
What do you think separates a GSP/Khabib from a Jones (many other examples) from being a true model to show your kids? Is it their coaches? Something innate? Do you think the writing is on the wall before the make it big time?
I feel like all of the hubbub, fracas, and brouhaha over the main event of UFC 300 is due to one simple thing.
Conor McGregor.
Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY, wanted, and still wants, McGregor to headline UFC 300, even if they are not willing to admit it.
If they announced McGregor v Anybody for UFC 300, everybody would've shut up, been happy and the story would be "how is McGregor going to look on his return"?
Nobody on or off the roster is a bigger fight than McGregor, and I think it's the fight everyone really wanted on 300, again, even if they are not willing to admit it to themselves.
The question is *why* is McGregor not fighting on 300? Plenty of possibilities, but who's to say which is the truth?
Am I off the board on this take? Or is it a bullseye? (Yes, this is a darts reference).
I've seen questions asked about dream sporting events, but what about world events? What's the one event GC, NYRic, Mysterious Frank, and you need to attend before your last trip around the sun? Does GC have a flashy celebratory Carnival outfit that he dreams of wearing in Sao Paulo? Or perhaps Frank is a thrill junkie and has a lifelong goal of outrunning the bulls of Pamploma? Maybe we see NYRic rocking a lederhosen and carrying 17 steins of beer at Oktoberfest in Munich, or Ariel dancing around a fire shirtless at Running Man in the Southwest deserts of the US?
Much love to the entire crew for making the workday tick by faster! And shoutout to the chat!
Ariel - Ariel - Why do you think the UFC doesn't allow fighters to make creative entrances to their fights? No costumes, no Pyro/fireworks, for the most part fighters don't have specific songs or anything...Do you believe this is a strategy of theirs to stifle the Fighters personalities/popularity with the fans all to help the UFCs bargaining power when it comes to fighter contracts? You would think they would embrace these extravagant entrances a la WWE. What do you guys think? Love the show, thanks for all the great content.
I think they want to get away from the pageantry of the past and be more professional than other promotions. Simple as that. Dana has often said that (and I’m paraphrasing), “UFC is where the best the fight the best,” and their image has to reflect that.
I miss it, too, though. I hope they find the right balance that works for both sides and ultimately gets the fighters paid more.
Out of all of the fighters or people associated with fighting that have a "beef" with you, which of those would you most like to rectify and/or have on the show?
I'd love to see Khabib finally sit down with Ariel again, he used to respect and like Ariel a lot. Prior to everything with Ali and McGregor vs Alvarez.
What was your reaction to Dana walking out of Howie Mandel’s podcast in the first 30 seconds of the conversation?
He sat through a long, at times tense, conversation with Kevin Iole, so it surprised me that he wouldn’t just sit through a relatively softball podcast with Howie Mandel.
Hi Ariel, given that Dana White said he will announce the UFC 300 main event at Saturdays post fight press conference, should we expect Leon v Belal as if it was a big one they probably would've announced it in a different way? Or are we reading into this too much
I just couldn't see Lean x I forgot his name as being the announcement let alone Main Event. The blow back this would receive would be huge. Dana shot himself in the foot with overhyping this.
I think the UFC should use it as a the Relegation Zone. Hear me out:
Much like how Pride used to penalize fighters by deducting money from their purse, Dana can make fighters that go to boring decisions, or lay-and-pray their way to victory to the Apex for their next fight, where they have to make a statement, and earn the right to fight in front of fans.
Would love to get your and the amazing MMA Hour Crew’s opinion on this.
Also, I’m sorry if my Wizard of Oz question caused any friction last week. I was simply trying to say that you and the crew have so many great qualities and compete each other. We all have our strengths and weaknesses but I’m happy you and the crew all found your way together.
This seems like a weird anti-incentive structure that would surely only promote certain disciplines of martial arts and not the most efficient. Every great and popular fighter will eventually have a boring fight, because if they don't they just go down in a blaze of glory like Chandler or Gaethje and people criticize them for having low Fight IQ.
Ariel! Another amazing PPV ahead of us this weekend!
If I may get your thoughts on these topics?
Your thoughts on Kyoji Horiguchi possibly coming back to the UFC? Have you heard anything? And how do you think he stacks up against the current top UFC Flyweights?
Your thoughts regarding the post Sage Northcutt made on his Instagram regarding the late notice corner men issue. It's also worth noting how many active ONE fighters heart reacted to Sages post
Your thoughts on Charles Radtkes attitude towards the media in his post fight press conference as well as your opinion on how well you think the media members handled it?
Thanks for the many hours of good times and love the show!
Hope you are all are doing well. Not sure if this was discussed before but I would like to hear your opinion on DC stating that Jim Miller does not deserve to be in UFC hall of fame. I personally think he could not be more wrong about this. What does the crew think about this ?
I know it’s a ways away however, with last weeks discussion of Apex 100 Fight Feast, may I suggest a potential menu.
Drink: tap water
Appetizer: wheat bread
Main course: unseasoned chicken with a side of uncooked broccoli
Dessert: oatmeal raisin cookie
Thoughts? Looking forward to it!
LMAO 🤣
3 rapid fire questions
Is the nfl scripted per social media?
Will you have Brendan schaub on? He’s giving you the flowers you deserve.
What’s better for Francis’s legacy? Beating fury for the belt or beating jones for the belt?
So how the hell do you get your question answered? I asked first and had the most likes? I’m confused? Usually I’ll post super late so I can see why but what’s the excuse for it now? I just don’t get it

Much love to you and the crew for everything!
Ariel my man,
With the ufc 300 main event talk
Is there any chance of Periera defending his LHW title? Be it against Ankaleav, Rountree Jr, Hill(?)
Seems like he always stays in fight shape and is a massive fan favourite
Big love from rainy Suffolk

Good day Ariel, two questions.
1. What the best fight you think (if all goes well) UFC can make for next MSG card?
2. Do you think Owen Hart will go into the HoF? and do you think that WWE should remove horrible people from their current hall of fame?
Shavkat vs Khamzat or Jones vs Aspinall for MSG
Not sure if Owen's family will allow it but I hope but I do hope they remove the racists and rapists from the hall of fame
Hey Ariel,
Out of all of the fighters or people associated with fighting that have a "beef" with you, which of those would you most like to rectify and/or have on the show?
I'd like to see Paddy and Ariel makeup
I'd love to see Khabib finally sit down with Ariel again, he used to respect and like Ariel a lot. Prior to everything with Ali and McGregor vs Alvarez.
Settled over a pint and some darts?
Got to be Jon Jones. He’s come across his most authentic when doing his 1-1s with Ariel over the years.

He sat through a long, at times tense, conversation with Kevin Iole, so it surprised me that he wouldn’t just sit through a relatively softball podcast with Howie Mandel.
Is he that over his day-to-day with the UFC?

Hello Ariel!
BREAKING NEWS!
I have a way to solve the Apex.
I think the UFC should use it as a the Relegation Zone. Hear me out:

Hello from London 👋🏽
What do you think AI will do to journalism, as well as MMA journalism specifically?

With news that Ryan Clark is out of Dc and RC, who do you think is a great replacement for Ryan. Can it be you!?!?
I also won’t mind Dom Cruz for a little Dc squared.
Hello Ariel and the guys,
Hope you are all are doing well. Not sure if this was discussed before but I would like to hear your opinion on DC stating that Jim Miller does not deserve to be in UFC hall of fame. I personally think he could not be more wrong about this. What does the crew think about this ?
Wishing you all good health and great day ahead.
