Fun day of fighting on tap. First, it’s a matinee UFC event, headlined by Mackenzie Dern vs. Marina Rodriguez, followed by the big one: Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder 3.
Let’s use this as a spot to talk about the action — the good, the bad, the ugly, the fun, the weird — throughout the night.
Would it had been possible for Wilder to outbox Fury, to learn how to punch from back foot? Not to bulk himself but getting lighter feet(if possible:)) and then just avoid Fury’s leaning and counterpunch him.
I think Tyson Fury might be the best character/best fighter in combat sports history. At the very least he is in the top handful. It’s like he’s a movie character. Unbelievable. That was one of the most incredible fights I’ve ever seen. I was freaking out, doing my best to not wake up my baby 😂
I loved Volk/Ortega and I’m a WAY bigger MMA fan than boxing, but I think Fury/Wilder is one of the best fights ever. I was on the edge of my seat or jumping and yelling or shadow boxing ever second of the fight, haha
