Here’s where you can subscribe to this page. Thanks for your support! All’s been pretty quiet on the WFL front since news broke of their plans a couple of months, so here’s an update: According to sources, the current plan is for the WFL to sign 192 athletes in 2022 for their inaugural 2023 season.
If they are paying a minimum purse that added up to 50%, what happens if they are paying the stars more? Would they potentially end up paying 60, 70, 80% of the revenue to the fighters? Seems like it would be hard to run a profitable business if that’s the case.
This could be really promising. I hope if anything it creates the push for more pay in other promotions. I’m curious who the big 5 fish they’ll land will be.
