Back in January I said Ilia had everything it takes to be the star of the UFC and down the road will be in the GOAT conversation. I don’t think he loses to any of the potential challengers anytime soon; honestly think he easily beats Lopes, Sterling, Evloev, Murphy, Allen; and dominates the Volk rematch. He’s young and insanely skilled everywhere. What do you think the ceiling and future is for Ilia given that he’s knocked out two of the three greatest 145ers of all time and no challenger, outside of maybe Lopes, has looked overly impressive?
First of all, Congratulations on turning a new leaf 🍁 to this MMA chapter, very happy for you guys. The Uncrowned Era is here to stay babeyyy 🤟
My question is.. what do you think is the road for Max Holloway after that hard fought battle ? He’s hinting at Lightweight, BMF, etc what’s your take on this ?
Also, one more.. how good do you think Khamzat is ? Does he deserve a title fight immediately OR after Dricus vs Strickland ?
Two quick ones here. How do PPV points for title fights work on a card like grasso schevchenko 2? It was a free card (with espn+). Second, GC was wearing a plain T shirt yesterday that looked to be of great quality. Where did he get it? Oh and New York Ric is the goat. Shout out to all the zeros they added to his paycheck to get him in office this much.
Love the new show and platform! Massive credit to those on the website, they're bringing a certain journalistic standard that has been particularly lacking in the MMA space.
Okay my question ... in the spirit of what went down this weekend, what's the worst combat sports prediction you have ever made? (May I remind you that you did say at the start of this year that Francis would be undisputed heavyweight (boxing) champion!). Mine? I thought Uriah Hall was going to be a Mount Rushmore fighter ...
Following up with your response to my question from last week, the reason why I asked if Uncrowned was going to have anyone participate in the UFC press conferences is because I want to see better questions being asked (especially to Dana). You were the best at that, but i understand you may not want to do that because it’s not worth the effort. Nevertheless, after last week’s Francis/Dana feud, I thought it highlighted this need for more people to be asking Dana tougher follow ups (some media members did follow up but I thought not enough). Does this change your thoughts on having someone attend press conference?
I know the year isn’t quite over but what are some fights that MUST be made in 2025? Chimaev title shot? Conor vs anyone? Ankalaev titleshot? Tom undisputed? Play fantasy matchmaker, if only one UFC ( sorry francis ) can be guaranteed to take place next year what is it?
Hi Ariel and team. I appreciate your breakdown of the Dana & Francis situation, which included bits and clips I'd forgotten. In an era with Dana, fans, politicians, and others spewing lies and creating false narratives, doesn't it get extremely tiresome for journalists to constantly fact-check and set records straight? I don't envy that aspect of your job, but I'm grateful that you put in that work.
Since you have shifted away from an MMA only show, are there any new awards you can tease for the end of year award show? Maybe Ade gives his “Boxer of the Year” and /or you bring on a Pro Wrestling writer to give their “Wrestler of the Year”?
Querido Papi Ariel! interviews have been cookin this week; incredible work. QUESTION: are there plans for any women to contribute to Uncrowned? With more female fighters than ever, a potential atomweight UFC division, womens sports being an ever-hotter topic, I think a lady contributor would further elevate the new era & help keep it relevant.
Question for Conner and Petesy: I’ve heard a lot of excitement around Topuria in a stadium show in Spain, but no one has talked about the fact that there are two active Georgian champions right now. What are the thoughts on the UFC getting Turkey Al Sheikh to sponsor UFC Georgia and selling out the Boris Paitchadze Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi? We missed out on the Three Kings in Africa, we can’t afford to miss this road trip for the boys in the back + Petesy.
Ariel and crew when the ufc comes back to England for ppv would you consider doing one of your amazing night with Ariel and Friends if the event is at the 02 arena, you could do it at the indigo at the same venue. Would love to come to a show.
Before i ask i just want to clarify I am aware this is your show and you can talk about whatever the hell you want but i have to ask. Why do you feel the need to defend Francis the way you do? As soon as Francis was brought up at the presser last weekend i knew Mondays episode would include and hour plus of you defending him and shitting on Dana. Why not just take your own advice from Monday and say "Francis is right and Dana is wrong God Bless" and move on. At this point it seems you are using Francis success and victory over the UFC to shove it in Danas face every chance you can. We all know Dana is a POS. We all know Francis is doing amazing things. But none of us need another hour plus breakdown of the issues between the two.
Because ngannou has to many haters for doing the right thing. To many people throwing shade at a guy while not actually knowing why the jones fight didn’t happen
I loved the break down on Nganouu. btw if you check the comments especially on Ariels Facebook posts about Nganouu. There is a ridiculous amount of Nganouu haters out there that eat up everything Dana says and think Nganouu is just a greedy pos, even saw people saying the fight was fixed. Complete morons.
Ariel is not using Francis's success. he is doing proper journalism and reporting on a subject and breaking shit down for all the meat head casuals. Francis deserves videos like that.
Hello Ariel and the crew, just wondering what was the most painful injury you guys had. I feel like New York ‘Ric seems like a guy that gets gout. Thanks for always keeping me company on my commute home! Much love!
Ariel - Love the show keep up the hard work. Much appreciated. Are you now more willing to pay for interviews since the show is financially backed by Yahoo? You were adamant about never paying for an interview in the past. However, now that you find yourself in a spot where you are able to PAY THE FIGHTERS off of the back of this MULTI BILLION DOLLAR company. Will you? Thank you. Love the show.
Ariel has answered this countless times already. Why would he pay the fighters?..He's a journalist.. Fighters get indirect payment from the platform he provides and the articles that get written from his interviews. If it wasn't for people like Ariel people wouldn't even know or give a shit about 90% of the roster.
Also, he is planning on interviewing a lot of other athletes, stars, etc. and not all are willing to do it if they aren't paid. I'm curious if he is now willing to have them paid. Thanks
He has not answered this at all since he has signed with Yahoo. He directly wouldn't be paying anyone but the Fighters would be compensated for their time. That is what I am curious about. No one is attacking Ariel. You don't have to run to defend him. To say people wouldn't give a shit about 90% of the roster is a joke. You are showing your hand too much.
This is not even just about fighters that aren't that relevant. Ariel says he is going to be interviewing people in all walks of sports and whatnot. You're telling me they aren't wanting payment knowing this is backed by Yahoo and Yahoo is known to pay for interviews. C'mon...that's ridiculous.
Look troll, why don't you Scoops my nuts out of your mouth and find another way to occupy your time. Understood? Or do I need to capitalize that troll?
Ariel shouldn’t have to pay for fighters to give interviews because it promotes the fighters career. If people don’t do interviews then nobody will know about them
Yahoo has paid athletes and stars for interviews for years. So you are telling me that Ariel just up and says "No, I don't want any person I am interviewing to be paid." I doubt that.
In your opinion, what personality makes a fighter more interesting either to the fans or to cover, the guy with unapologetic confidence like Conor, Chael, Ilia, Izzy, etc.. or the humble underdog like GSP, DJ, Volk, Max, DC, etc…

Is that you, Ilia? 🤔
Hellooooo Ariel and the crew !!!
What’s up, GC, NY Rick, Mysterious Frank

haha - i thought Luque was going to dethrone Usman and be a dominant champion

what # question was this last week on the show?
Hola Ariel! Just curious, when’s the last time you talked to Carlos Correa?
This is for ariel and crew,
I know the year isn’t quite over but what are some fights that MUST be made in 2025? Chimaev title shot? Conor vs anyone? Ankalaev titleshot? Tom undisputed? Play fantasy matchmaker, if only one UFC ( sorry francis ) can be guaranteed to take place next year what is it?
Also, 5 years ago today, I met you in MSG for the UFC 244 open workouts

He’s not paying fighters to promote themselves

Hey Ariel,
Hoping all the boys can weigh in on this:
In your opinion, what personality makes a fighter more interesting either to the fans or to cover, the guy with unapologetic confidence like Conor, Chael, Ilia, Izzy, etc.. or the humble underdog like GSP, DJ, Volk, Max, DC, etc…
Congrats on the new show!
