I've long been a critic of the UFC's business practices, but I gotta tell you that I have lost all motivation to follow boxing. Much like you discussed with Bud Crawford on Monday, negotiations between promoters have absolutely demolished the sport. While the celebrity fights certainly bring in eyes, I'm mostly uninterested and just want to watch the best boxers in the world go at it.
If you suddenly inherited $5 billion but could only use it to fix boxing, how would you fix the sport? Simple and straightforward question - I know.
Ariel, great interview with Chandler on Monday. He brought up the idea of fighting Masvidal for the BMF title... which made me wonder. What's your take on the BMF belt? I thought it was exciting to introduce it for the Jorge-Nate fight, but since then is it even a thing? Do you think Masvidal will ever defend this belt?
Also, GC, did you prepare a traditional Canadian meal for today? I believe this World Cup debut is worthy enough for some maple syrup, poutine and beaver tail before the big game.

Hello MMA Hour Family! I jumped on the bandwagon a couple months back and can’t thank you all enough for the insightful, entertaining, and all around stellar combat sports content.
Now to the question. It isn’t uncommon to hear “McGregor is the money fight” or “Masvidal is the money fight”, but I have also heard Dana say multiple times that a fighter has a contract and will fight for their contracted price. Is it as simple as when someone gets a big fight against Connor or Jorge that they will renegotiate their contract and get a bigger payday, or are people referring to the stardom and opportunities that will come as a result of fighting and/or beating these big name stars? I understand you have to be a big name to be in the conversation for these “money fights”, but I find it hard to believe sometimes that Dana will just willingly renegotiate.
Something I have noticed from you is that you always speak for the fighters who are left out of the title conversation even though they should be. The best examples in recent memory would be Leon Edwards and Arnold Allen.
My question is, do you or do you not feel the same way towards Beneil Dariush? 8 fight win streak. Fighting up and down the rankings. Workman-like mentality. Isn't the most outspoken guy to ask for what he deserves.

Was just wondering what your thoughts were on Christian Lee becoming 2 weight champ in One Fc at just 24 years old. Hard to believe that he was moving up in weight going against the former champion who was stripped because he missed weight so there was an even bigger weight discrepancy going into the fight. Do you feel like shavkat rakhmonov is being overlooked? I know the language barrier sets him back from being able to promote fights but surely his performances should do the talking, I know he has a fight coming up but even if he wins that he still won’t get pushed as hard as any of the other fighters by Dana.

What is up Ariel. So assuming Kayla gets through Pacheco for a 3rd time this Friday, do you see it possible that she slowly starts to decline as a draw, similar to Mighty Mouse, because she’s so far and above any of her competition that the general public isn’t going to tune in for her fights. I enjoy watching her, but how many more times are we going to have to see her beat up on these incredibly outmatched women 4 times a year? Like water we dune hair b? Just don’t think it’s fair to Kayla, she deserves better, literally.
My question revolves around the Tachi Palace Casino and whether the UFC will actually host an event there in the future? When the Pandemic first started, and states were shutting down, Tachi palace became the new venue for UFC 249 however the UFC was then advised to hold off from doing the event (possibly by ESPN/Disney) and instead we got Fight Island a few weeks later.
I recall Dana mentioning that he would look to return to this venue with a big event, but after 2 years this seems to have fallen off the radar. I would hope that the UFC would look to at least host apex cards in smaller markets/ casinos like the Tahiti palace and possibly Reno, Nevada in 2023. Any thoughts on this?
