Although you already hinted towards it on Monday, Covington x Masvidal was officially announced as the main event for UFC 272. First and foremost let’s go Jorge. Secondly, what a shame the fight won’t go down in Miami!
While I’d love to see Poirier x Diaz as the co-main event, I don’t see Nate taking a fight under a Masvidal headlined card (not to mention the contract issues). Hypothetically speaking, who do you see as the co-main event for UFC 272?
Hey Ariel, what are you hearing on Nick Diaz? With a bunch of unanswered questions after his fight with Robbie I'm just curious what you've heard. Any plans to fight again? Any answers as to why he had to "take the fight" even though he "didn't know who made the fight?" Thanks, peace & love!
As a fan who buys all the ppv’s why is it that after there “best year” they raise the price again and the fighters don’t even get a scratch off of it? Btw Love the show
Hey Ariel, just subscribed yesterday so I could ask you a question! As a newer Canadian MMA fan, can you describe the atmosphere in Canada when GSP was champ, especially when he fought in Canada?
Why was there no honourable mention of Costa vs Vettori by anybody for fight of the year? Most strikes landed ever outside of Max Holloway fight. Is it just the weight controversy?
👃🏻 My man, my question touches on a topic you briefly mentioned last week. For fighters that are engaging in combat sports outside of their contracts, is the juice worth the squeeze?
Magny championed for a fight with Khamzat and was largely ignored. He then loses at Fury grappling and feels completely off the radar. Flip side, Khamzat wrestles and beats J.Hermansson and it only helps his stock. Whilst these wins/ defeats don’t impact their records, it leaves an impact on their standing in the mind space.
What are your thoughts? Much love, it’s everyday bro 😎
I can also think of a recent 10-7 victim that was choked out by a security guard. It’s as close to combat sports as they’ve been for years. Didn’t work out too well for them. You know the one, highest paid member of the Bellator roster.
Goodmorning Ariel - congrats on Bills winning the series.
With Colby/Jorge finally being announced, how deep do you feel this rivalry really goes? Would love nothing more to see it end in bromance (referee permitting) but feels like this has become very personal.
On a side note, today is national chicken curry day. What’s your favorite chicken curry or even Indian food place in New York? Would love to break naan someday with GC or TST who offered me a place.
Thug Nose! What ever happened to you and the other great nose; comedy great, New York legend... Andrew Schulz?? I smelled the beef for a bit but it seems to have faded away.... I think you two would have INCREDIBLE conversations and could really make for some amazing content!! We need you on the Flagrant 2 podcast!!
Ariel, this is not a question, but I have become a massive fan of the show over the last 6 months, which is why I wanted to give YOU the scoop first. There is a fighter who has yet to be signed to the UFC who I guarantee you will become a gigantic star in either the UFC’s 135 or 145lb division within the next 3 years. Let me introduce to you, Craig "the Stallion" Feistner, who fights out of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Craig trains out of the same gym as Terrence McKinney (Warrior Camp in Spokane, WA) and the two wrestled together in college. He was offered an invitation to fight on the Contender Series this last year, but had to postpone his debut because he had only just started a gym/businesses of his own during the pandemic. Craig has a background, in Boxing, Wrestling, Jiu Jitsu, and is overall, extremely well-rounded in MMA. When I told him over text that I was going to shout him out on the BIGGEST MMA SHOW IN THE WORD (BABYYYY) I don't think he knew I was serious. Please Ariel, make my first act as his unofficial manager a HUGE success and follow his accounts on Instagram, you will NOT regret it! Viva Heelwani 🦹🏻♂️
Khamzat v burns? Or is that already booked?
I’ve read somewhere that might be on April 9th

Is Ciryl Gane a genuine contender for wonderboys NMF title?
Yes and Brandon Moreno is in contention too

Do you have interest in doing a weekly show with Rampage Jackson similar to DC and Helwani.
Loved all your interviews with Rampage since the pre fight interview at UFC 140 haha.
Also, would you be able to get Bobby Green on the MMA hour. Loved his interviews on the show too
Meant 130 Rampage vs Hamill my bad
Favorite podcasts to listen to?

Hey Ariel!
New year, new restaurant.. what’s the recommendation?
p.s. very interesting how a certain old friend of yours shared the news right after two cents Tuesday! They even used the same thumbnail!

Thoughts on having an 'Honourary Champion' hall of fame to retirees who never won a title, like:
Florian
Overeem
Benavidez etc
I thought of Court McGee when I read this. His story, ultimate fighter success and his longevity feels like he’d be in it!
Hi Ariel, do you plan on more in studio guests after the covid settles down?
What's good Ariel?
Quick WMMA rapid fire (true/false), shout out to to MMARising.
1) 125 is actually the best women's division in the ufc (if Tataiana Suarez and Miesha are healthy)
2) Kayla Harrison re-signs with PFL. But she loses to Julia Budd in 2022.
3) Holly Holm gets another title shot in 2022.
4) Angela Lee is unable to reclaim her title in 2022.
5) Gina Carano is a top 10 wmma fighter all time

The last guy he beat is 17-34
Yeah, that's probably why he beat him so handedly. He'll get a contract on Contender and make waves, watch.
