That’s not a logical thought at least in UFC. Following your logic, Ortega got dominated by Max Halloway and Max lost twice to poirier. And guess who won against Poirier? Zombie. Also Zombie rarely loses to a guy who’s shorter than him so I think he stands a good chance against Volkanovski
I think I am one of the few that would love to see Cejudo get a chance at a 3rd belt. It would be absolute history and something that I don't know could be replicated.
